Fox's Summary of Opposite Sex

200 girls. Three boys. Welcome to Evergreen Academy. New from the creators of Never Been Kissed comes this lighthearted drama that follows a teenage boy forced to enroll at a formerly all-girls prep school. Jed Perry (newcomer Milo Ventimiglia) is just wrapping up one of the worst weeks of his life. The same week he and his dad and brother are moving from back East to Northern California, his girlfriend totally dumps him! Jed has vowed to steer clear of girls for a very long time! Unfortunately, Jed's new school, Evergreen Academy, is making that impossible. Evergreen just went coed and Jed soon discovers he is one of only three guys enrolled for the new year!
Jed's male allies are Phil, the academic who is thrilled with the school's high Ivy League placement; and Cary, who is thrilled by his increased odds of scoring a date. What Jed, Phil and Cary slowly realize is that the secret world of girls is not at all what they expected.
As the guys try to blend, they find little sympathy among the mostly resentful girls. Hostile Stella, an Evergreen legacy, is particularly vocal about not wanting to break with tradition. Brilliant Kate is initially resistant, but starts to appreciate having a male perspective on things. Rebellious Miranda, however, adopts Jed as her pet project and helps the boys adjust to the estrogen-heavy environment.
This funny series doesn't take itself too seriously--unlike some other "teen dramas." Instead, Opposite Sex takes a slightly tweaked peek into the awkward angst of being a teenager.
Opposite Sex airs Mondays this summer at 8:00 PM/7:00 C. Cast: Milo Ventimiglia (Jed), Chris Cousins (Will), Chris L. McKenna (Rob), Chris Evans (Cary), Kyle Howard (Phil), Margot Finley (Miranda), Allison Mack (Kate), Lindsey McKeon (Stella), Garcelle Beauvais (Ms. Bradley), Paul Fitzgerald (Beau) and Chris Hogan (Mr. Oslo). Extra TV Review of Opposite Sex

After being dumped by his girlfriend, 15-year-old Jed Perry has sworn off girls for good. Imagine his surprise when, after moving to Northern California with his father and older brother, Jed suddenly finds himself one of only three males enrolled at the prestigious Evergreen Academy, a former all-girls prep school which has just gone co-ed. But there is trouble in paradise as Jed and his fellow XY-chromosome allies - the hormone-crazed Carey and the academically-obsessed Phil -- discover just what it means to be THE OPPOSITE SEX.
Immediately smitten by the beautiful Miranda Miller, jed still can't seem to figure out her quirky personality. But at least Miranda is happy to have guys around to shake up the status quo at Evergreen. The same cannot be said for feisty Stella and her clique, who are hell-bent on upholding the old guard and making life as difficult as possible for the three outsiders.
It's the school's savvy guidance counselor Ms. Gibson (guest star Rena Sofer, Melrose Place"), however, who inspires Jed to buck the system and become a pioneer of change at the school. A funny, sexy twist on the coming-of-age story, THE OPPOSITE SEX captures that time in life when changes and challenges occur daily, and the only way to successfully confront them is to be true to yourself.
